That’s amazing. I never understood how you could use multiple free coupons in the same transaction… I need to look up coupon beginner guides or something! haha

Unless the coupon states ” One coupon per transaction” you can use as many as you want!! Here in Canada, we are just not allowed to stack coupons, which is using more than one coupon on one product, where some stores in the States will allow this!

I asked Corey how the OP went last night during the training exercise and he told me that they got compromised and that realistically they would have been killed. I said that I didn’t like the sound of that and this is what he explained to me:

I know, but that’s the reality of it. Recce op’s are hard and testing of the soldiers as well as a high chance of compromise which can lead to death. There are two outcomes if an op gets hit. We’re semi ready and can fight the fight with some sort of survival, or they hit us when we are lax and we all die. Recce by death is a common saying in the RCD. In Afghanistan, that’s what they did, they drove till they hit an IED or until they were engaged by enemy fire. Our job is to find the enemy. If we find them because they hit us and we tell higher, wether we all die or not, our mission was accomplished. You need and deserve to know that I may be in high risk situations a lot.

I was so not ready to hear that.

No. Just no.
Being a wife to my husband IS NOT A JOB. I am not in, nor will I ever be in the military.

This whole “Military Spouse Appreciation Day”, in my eyes, is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard about. I do not need a day to be appreciated for loving, supporting, and marrying my husband. My husband appreciated me every single day, and that is all I need.

Military spouses are not some type of “special breed”, we love our husbands and are wiling to do anything for them, just like any other wive.

They do at SOME stores. Like I shop at Publix grocery and you can use a manufacturer’s coupon, store coupon, and competitor’s coupon on the same item. And they double up to 50 cents.

That is SO awesome!! Hopefully the coupons will start getting better so that you can save more money! :)

I finally got amazing coupons last week! :) Do they allow you to stack coupons in America? I see it all the time on Extreme Couponing but I never know if it’s like that everywhere

This is my husband.

In 17 days, we will be celebrating our first wedding anniversary together, but we won’t be physically together. He left for CFB Wainwright, Alberta just over a week ago for a field exercise and won’t be home until June 8th.

I’ve learned so much about myself and our relationship during this past year. No matter the distance or time apart, we can always feel each others presence and love around us. No matter how mad and upset we get with each other, we know that we love each other eternally. No matter what challenges or problems we might face, we will be able to fight them and never give up.

We have such a bright future together, filled with lots of years of happiness, success, love, and support.

I am so very thankful for my husband.

Sometimes, I cry over the simplest things.

As some of you know, I’m finishing my up last consolidation placement at a retirement home. Today, I saw a lady playing horseshoes, so my partner and I though we would just her. She looked so familiar, but I couldn’t figure out where I know her from. We played a few rounds, and she ended up kicking both our butts. After that we went back inside and started getting ready for the resident council meeting. Our supervisor came over to us and asked how we liked playing horseshoes with “R.” Once I heard her name, everything clicked. I took care of her husband in a LTC home from Sept to Dec. I celebrated their 65 wedding anniversary with them in November. As soon as I found out, I ran over to her.

“You might not remember me, but I took care of your husband in the Fall. I was with you when you celebrated your 65th wedding anniversary in the dinning room.” I said.

“That’s why your face looks so familiar. I’ve always wanted to thank you for taking care of my husband but I never got the chance to, so thank you.”

She gave me a hug and asked if I would be back tomorrow to play another game of horseshoes with her. As I was walking away I could start to hear her talking to the other residents saying how great I was to her husband and how much she enjoyed my company today. It was absolutely perfect. I couldn’t being to explain how it felt talking to her and to see that she remembered me. I cried on my walk home.

Effective August 1st, the government will not be funding physiotherapy in retirement homes under OHIP. Good job Minister of Health, take away the only source of exercise for millions of elderly residents who can not afford nor travel to physiotherapy centres….

Sounds like the government is trying to kill off the elderly population. I am SO angry right now.
